Seva Call Joins Jersey Shore

Seva Call Joins Jersey Shore - Seva Call

(in the city, not the show)
Seva Call is launching in Jersey City, New Jersey today because, unlike DJ Pauly D, most New Jerseyans- even the genuine  gel-slicked guidos- have real jobs, real commitments, and don’t have time for web surfing away what little time they have for surfing waves. We at Seva Call believed nothing of what we heard on MTV. We know that for their families, their careers and for rebuilding their Sandy hit communities, every second counts on the Jersey Colgate Clock; and that’s the real situation. Seva Call can help.

Seva Call is an online concierge service that takes the hassle out of finding a local professional service provider able to accommodate your busy schedule. You name the time, place, and a detailed description of your troubles and Seva Call scours the city in search of the precise business able to solve the problem. If a professional thinks they can be of service based on the details you provide, then they’ll contact you through us- keeping your contact information secure.

Reality as never seen on TV is full of challenges, not foolishness. To find professionals in the Jersey Shore area to solve your roofing, plumbing, electrical, everything problems or even to contact a cab from your buddy’s crib after one too many Jager bombs, go to www.talklocal.com and… “Forget about it”!

Happy President’s Day!

presidents day

Hopefully you can sleep in and enjoy a paid holiday today…. LIKE A BOSS (or a President). Mr.  44th himself will reportedly be enjoying his honorary R&R in Florida’s Atlantic Coast with friends. I know what you’re thinking; and I’ve already checked: Florida has NOT yet legalized marijuana. So, he probably just has some really good, be they publicly unnamed, friends there.

Now known to the retail community as  “The Best Day to Convince You to Buy Something You  Didn’t Know You Needed”, the federal holiday was initially called “Washington’s Birthday”. It was established by an act of Congress in 1879, celebrated on February 22nd, and was the first federal holiday to celebrate an American citizen. Now moved to the 3rd Monday in February,  the current version celebrates all presidents past and present; because, of course, CIA briefings for life, top paying book/speaking deals, and having one’s name memorized by 4th graders for generations just weren’t enough.

So, since you are Head of Household/Commander in Chef and won’t get nearly as much credit for reforming your budget and passing orders, how are you going to enjoy your time this President’s Day? Share your thoughts with us in the comment box or on Facebook.

You decide; and, go to www.talklocal.com to make your Valentine’s Day planning experience something else to love.

Seva Call "Dough to Grow" Concession Speech - Seva Call

“We’re not just ‘Valpak Dough to Grow’ contest  finalists, we’re winners too!” says Seva Man

The Seva Call team is very encouraged by the outcome of the 44th annual contest that awards $10,000 to a deserving small business. Thanks to the outpouring of support from everyone who voted Seva Call for  North America’s favorite small business, Seva Call is listed as a finalist, beating out hundreds of other reputable companies.

Seva Call has won invaluable prizes, like the assurance that customers value our service. That, in addition to 365 days of bragging rights and responsibilities, and this nifty pic trumpeting our soaring achievement!

“We wish the best of luck to  this year’s winner: Firebird CrossFit in Mesa, A.Z. They seem like high quality fitness professionals, so we can’t wait to work with them when we launch in Mesa someday soon!”, commented Seva Call cofounder and all-around class-act Manpreet Singh. Is there a Good Sportsmanship or Mr. Congeniality Award for this guy?

Thanks again to our customers  on Facebook, Twitter,YouTube, and elsewhere for showing your support. The Seva Call team is so happy that you like finding the “right” professional fast, and we’ll keep working to grow and make it even better. We’re beefing up to launch a mobile app as we speak; Firebird CrossFit isn’t the only small business with muscle!

Now we have a question for you: What’s the best/worst consolation prize you’ve ever gotten? Share with us on Facebook, Twitter, or in the comments section here!

Time-Saving Opportunity Knocks in Newark- The Gateway City

Time-Saving Opportunity Knocks in Newark- The Gateway City - Seva Call

Gateway City’s small businesses would knock down your door and install a new one if they could find you when you needed them most. That’s where Seva Call comes in, after knocking first, of course. Seva Man is bringing his service seeker’s time-saving breakthrough to Newark, New Jersey. Not only will Newark residents be able to securely connect with up to 3 applicable service professionals within minutes, but businesses too can open the floodgates to new customers and quit drowning in countless search engine results hoping a customer will drop them a line. Opportunity is knocking, and it sounds like a phone ring.

“Newark is full of small business ripe for growth with the help of a broader, more easily accessible consumer base” observed Sean Coleman, Seva Call marketing representative. “They’re not pummeling anyone with small and countless advertisements, but with Seva Call, that’s no longer a disadvantage. Customers and businesses don’t stumble upon one another. A customer seeks a service and only companies able to provide that service when and where the customer needs will service. No advertising guru can promise that.”

Newark is such a bustling city and sometimes Murphy’s Law rules the day. Say you just woke up to find that a tree had fallen onto your car last night, and you forgot the six week anniversary of the time you and your girlfriend shared a bowl of ice cream and she “just knew,” she said. Go to sevacall.com and fill out a request form for all of your needs: tree removal, a florist, a house-cleaner to prepare for a quiet night at home or a limousine service if you want to pull out all the stops. Check out www.talklocal.com and find your quick fix fast!

Happy Birthday, Abe!

Happy Birthday, Abe! - Seva Call

Here at Seva Call, we’re strengthening the Union one community at a time by making it easier for neighbors to find and talk to their friendly neighborhood pro to get assistance with  everyday service needs. It was President Abraham Lincoln who once said that you destroy your enemies by making friends of them.  Well, we destroy strangers by building connections- strengthening communities.  On Abraham Lincoln’s birthday, we sure hope we would have made him proud.

Here are the 5 Best Ways to Celebrate Abe’s B’day:

Did you ever notice that Abe was the nation’s first bearded president?

It’s surprisingly tough as the average person tells 3 lies within a ten minute conversation!

Abe had one and loved animals.

Abe was a known funny man & once said, “If I were two-faced, would I be wearing this one?”

Because it is Apple Pie.

We honor and celebrate President Abe Lincoln and marvel that his great union is as strong as ever and more interconnected than he could ever have dreamed.

It’s Another New Year… (in China that is)

It’s Another New Year... (in China that is) - Seva Call

It’s another new year… for the those who recognize the traditional lunar year; and it’s also start of  the Spring Festival – a two week celebration which commonly features parades, performers in dragon costumes,  fireworks, paper lanterns, and New Year Cake across China, as well as in homes and cultural centers across the Chinese diaspora.

Even if you’re not of Chinese heritage and won’t get a chance to experience the amazing festivities happening across the world, here’s your chance to celebrate another day bursting with hope and the promise of renewal. It’s a New Year in China; but it’s a new day everywhere. So, have some Chinese NYE themed fun today, thank your lucky moon, and take a moment to reflect on the year ahead.

Although you never need an excuse to remember your commitments to yourself and your future, here’s one anyway.

Most of us have forgotten the Mayan Armageddon craze, but if there’s one thing that the Mayan calendar has taught us, it’s that the end of the year does not mean the end of the world. Today is a time of rebirth- especially across China- but we should take it to heart, too. After all, no matter who you are or which calendar you follow, the Lunar, Gregorian, Mayan, and Hebrew calendars all agree that today is a new day, (or at least a few hours from being so depending on your time-zone).

“Happy New Year’s/Day Day!”

– Seva Call Team
